My husband is a mechanic and in the winter his hands because as rough and scratchy as 80 grit sand paper. Between the cold weather, washing his hands continuously, and him nicking himself, his hand look like something out of a horror movie. I have searched high and low for something to soothe his dry and cracked skin. Many of the lotions I have tried help some but do not have a prayer of actually helping his hands. READ MORE

Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition

I have three dogs, two kids, and a husband whom all radiate huge amount of dust, dirt, and grime through my house. I was in search for the best or the best when it came to vacuums. I am not one who picks up things before I vacuum. In my opinion, if it is dirt the vacuum should be able to handle it. I needed something tough, something strong, and something that would pick up anything that I could throw at it. The Kirby did just that. The model I have is the Ultimate G Diamond edition. READ MORE

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Pan

I will admit it. I am rough on my pots and pans. I expect them to hold up to anything. I do not mind paying good money for high quality items that will stand the test of time. In the search for some new pots and pans, I found a fantastic deal on the Rachael Ray Hard-Anodized Rectangle Skillet. The Skillet comes with a cast iron Panini Press or Sammy Press as Rachael calls it. I figured since it was such a great deal I would buy just the pan before buying a whole set. READ MORE

Now that we have been settled into our house, I have slowly begun replacing our old and lower quality kitchen products with better ones that will last. I attempted this with a set of Cuisinart Knives I had written about in a previous review and it did not work out so well. Unhappy with my Cuisinart purchase, I decided to cut my loses and purchase another new set of knives. This time I came across a set of Rachael Ray Furi Gusto-Grip Knives in an 8-piece set. Calphlon Hard Anodized Pans

When you hear people talking about quality cookware, you often here the name Calphalon mentioned. I was intrigued so I checked them out and I have to tell you them come with a hefty price tag. I did not think about them much more because my wallet could not afford them. Then while shopping for gifts online I can across them again. This time they were on clearance because they discontinued the line. So I decided to give them a try. I got the Crepe Pan, 2 ½ Quart Sauce Pan, ¾ Quart mini Sauce Pan, and the 12-inch Everyday Pan. They are from the commercial hard-anodized line that has now been replaced with the Calphalon One Infused Anodized line. READ MORE

Cuisinart Knife Set

In a quest for a new knife set, I came across a good deal on a Cuisinart 21 piece knife set with the block. Regular price was somewhere around $200 on sale for about $70. There reviews were mixed; it seemed to be a love/hate relationship with no middle ground. So I took my chances and ordered a set. The Cuisinart knife set included 17 knives, the holding block, a sharpening steel, a pair of shears, and a cutting board, not a bad deal for the price. READ MORE

Moon Sand

Moon Sand has been on of the hottest toys of the season for the last two years. Better than Play-Doh. Never dries out. Mold it and shape it. Those are just some of the lines they use to get your attention on the Moon Sand commercials. My youngest son, who just turned 7, got Moon Sand for his birthday. He actually got a lot of it, a huge 7 ½-pound bucket with a blow up container and a bunch of other colors in smaller containers. Read More

Ultrex Cookware

I purchased my first set of Ultrex Cookware nearly 15 years ago from the Home Shopping Network. I will admit that I was lured in by the over the top commercial telling me how great they were. They claimed that metal utensils would not hurt the durable finish and that after years of scrubbing and cooking the finish would still provide the non stick qualities as if they were brand new. They showed a guy using some kind of grinder or sander to simulate years of wear and tear on a pan and then cooking an omelet with cheese. The pan simply wiped clean with a paper towel when he was finished. READ MORE

have two boys and I needed to find them toys that will stand the test of time. They play hard and they play rough. They needed toys that could be drug around, kicked around, and still be able to take the continuous punishment that they had to offer. I found this quality in the Little Tykes toys. They are able to stand up to the every changing weather, the mass destruction my boys engage upon them, and they keep coming back for more. READ MORE
